HAY MINIONS. Hope you're all a lot better than I am at the moment.

*squirm*

I was at the Gold Coast yesterday with ~Megatron80 and Midge and I stupidly cut my foot open at the beach, quite badly too. I'm high on pain killers at the moment so I'm feeling sleepy and slow but also very lucky, cause I suppose it could have ended up a lot worse. Eh. Also, I'm rather used to injuring myself (heck, I was always being rushed to hospital as a kid), it's just what comes with being clumsy. Stuff like this is expected from the likes of me every once in a while.
Stupid rock and its stupid oyster. I was mucking around in the water with Midge and stood straight on it, and I didn't think the cut was too evil until I saw the amount of blood I was losing. Typical. One effing rock within miles of coastline with one effing oyster growing on it, and I effing step on it. I really regret going barefoot now, and if I'd known it was there I wouldn't have taken Midge anywhere near it, but it was sneaky and so well hidden. I'm still grateful it wasn't her. Anyway, James took one look at it, hoisted me up on his shoulder (sand is a bugger), took Midge under his other arm and one frantic car ride later I was at the Gold Coast medical center getting it cleaned up. So now, four stitches and a huge sleep later... everything's okay. I should be walking normally again in about a week. Until then, I'm just gonna take it easy and hobble around only when I need to. Expect more art. ;)

Hmm, and I've just finished reading all of the wonderful comments on my previous journal and notes... and you know what that means now don't you? *grin* Big ol' brumby glomps, hugs, love and cookies to everybody who dropped in a few lines of congrats and best wishes on my engagement to ~Megatron80. I wasn't really expecting that many, and I'm really very touched that so many of you actually care... so thank you, guys. I had fun reading them all and many thanks in return. You're so loved. In fact, there are a few people I want so badly to invite to the big day, even though I know it'd be near impossible for them to attend, I might just go ahead and do it anyway. But ah, as I'd like this to be a surprise, these people will have to remain anonymous for now.
The wedding plans are creeping along, but still nothing major to report. There are only three things we've decided on and the rest has been placed aside to concentrate on a little later in the year, after I've settled into my new job. My family have respected this decision and, thank goodness, backed off a little. It's pleasing to know that they're all so excited for me anyway... so I feel a bit awful for complaining about them now. *awkward silence* They really are a lovely bunch of crazies. And as soon as I finish my current job and move on to a normal 'work through the day and sleep at night' regime instead of the other way around, they're throwing us an engagement party. So yeah, it's kinda hard to stay mad with them. I'll be so glad to get out of this freaken job. I'm not really suited to living the lifestyle of a vampire bat. Only one more week to go and then I start my dream job. YESSSS! :w00t:

Still happy. Tired with an achy foot, but ever so happy. Hell yes.

And because I'm bored, this is what's hot and what's not in Brumby's world this week.

What's hot: :relax:

1. Being engaged to the most awesum dude on the planet, yay.
2. Midge.
3. Hot tubs.
4. Chicken & Corn flavoured noodles.
5. The twin baby llamas at Alma Park Zoo.
6. Glow in the dark sock puppets.
7. Vanilla scented massage oilz.
8. Surfing.
9. The Name Of The Wind by Patrick Rothfuss.
10. Bailey's Irish Cream.

What's... not: :snowing:

1. Being humped by horny strangers at nightclubs.
2. Mosquitos.
3. Humidity.
4. Being too tired from crappy nightshift work to do art stuff.
5. Whiney emo kids and their whiney emo music.
6. Nightmares.
7. Oysters.
8. Not owning a ferret or a llama. Humpf.
9. My obnoxious hair.
10. Stitches.

Does Brumby's World sound like a cool theme park or what? Hah, bye lovelies.
