Holy craaaap. October was the last time I updated this thing. Wow. How time flies!

But yeah it´s me, The Brumbster... (omg!!!) just popping in to say hello. I´m sorry to say there is no artwork to upload so I´m sorry if you were expecting anything new regarding Tyra or any of my other characters, but there has been no time for drawing, though I do miss it sometimes it just isn´t high on my list of priorities anymore... and therefore there isn´t anything new. But hey, at least you know I´m alive. Yay?

We have recently moved from Brisbane on the east coast of Australia allll the way across the country to a small town called Broome, on the West Australian coast. Absolutely loving it here. The climate is warm/hot and dry (and keep in mind it´s winter here) and the beaches are huge. The soil is red, the sand is white and the water aqua blue. Don´t get me started on the sunsets, OK? There is so much sky and so much colour. It´s really incredible. We´re settling in well. James is managing a beachside restaurant and I´m looking for reception work because there is so much available here at the moment, being tourist season... and Benj, well he´s just being his usual adorable ickle awesome self. He´s just gone 8 months and is a very good, very happy baby. He´s just figured out how to sit up and crawl so he´s mobile now, and he´s quick... damn quick, so I can´t let him out of my sight for a moment. He loves exploring and crawling under stuff, like the bed and couch... so it´s easy to lose him. He loves noming on stuff and is fascinated by birds. If he sees a bird he´ll be zombie-fied by it until it flies out of sight. He loves cuddles and we don´t really have much trouble with him at all. He does get a bit grizzly when he´s hungry or tired, but don´t we all, and probably only gets us up for one feed at night and then he´s back off to sleep again. He gets admirers everywhere we go so it can take a while to do a simple task, because everybody wants to know everything about him. And being a ham, he loves the attention. He has my dark brown eyes but aside from that he looks like James. For my own personal reasons I have decided not to upload photos of him here, or any for that matter. Any photos that I wish to display over the internet will be uploaded at Facebook.

So, if you´d like to see the awesomeness that is Benji look me up (search Renee Elizabeth), but of course I´ll need to befriend you first before you see anything. Just make sure you message me your dA username in the friend request otherwise I won´t know who you are and probably won´t accept it. M´ḱay? Well now you´re updated on my amazing life, haha*cough*. Hopefully it won´t be another 8 months before I come back. Hi all. ~Megatron80 here. SilverBrumby/Renee wanted me to deliver this message to her deviantart friends because she's currently in hospital, recovering after giving birth to our beautiful baby boy 'Benjamin James Ryan' at around 2:00 am on Tuesday morning, the 28th of October. She didn't need to be induced after all, she went into a natural labour just before midnight on Sunday and it was all systems go from there! I'll let her fill you in on all the details when she gets home. Both mother and baby are doing very well. Benji couldn't be more healthy. We haven't heard him cry much yet. He has a little grizzle when he wakes up but as soon as he's snug in his mum's arms and has a feed he's straight back off to sleep. We are both completely smitten. He has Renee's eyes, but my nose, mouth and he's longer than average just like I was as a bub so he's probably going to be tall just like his old man (I'm about 6'3-6'4). He has a dark tuft of hair on his head that Renee likes to style as a mohawk, long eyelashes, soft creamy skin and the tiniest fingernails i've ever seen. He's got a pretty strong grip too. We are very much looking forward to bringing him home. SilverBrumby also wanted to assure you that she will be putting up photos the moment she feels up to it. Poor thing, the birth was incredibly hard on her. I don't think my right hand will ever be the same either (shouldn't complain though. I still consider myself lucky!) She was doing really well until about half an hour from the birth. She lost a lot of blood (you don't need to be filled in about me almost fainting do you? No? OK moving along then..) and therefore went into shock and her pulse went right down but she still kept pushing like a trooper, and then after the birth she needed to be whisked away for a blood transfusion. Scary stuff. Afterwards she was so weak she couldn't even raise her arms to hold our son so she was upset (not to mention tired) but I held him for her to see and soon enough she was happy to see him and know he was OK. That morning will stick in my memory until I'm an old, old man I reckon. Finally on Tuesday afternoon after a long sleep she had her strength back and could hold and nurse Benji for the first time. It was really wonderful. Both of our families were there and I don't think there was a dry eye in the room.
So at this stage she'll be right to come home on Monday and Ben will be too. I've only been coming back here to feed the pets, check the mail and change my clothes. Everybody was taking a nap when I left so i'm hoping they'll be awake when I get back. I've only been away from them for half an hour and I already miss them like crazy.

Oh... and she told me that I have to say this. "Yes it's a boy and not a girl. Renee was right and I was wrong. I should have trusted her instinct from the start. She is a woman and therefore she is always right. Yeah yeah...."

Yep, I'm still alive, and still pregnant. Actually... more like VERY pregnant these days... hehe. Am currently having lunch out with a friend and typing away madly on her laptop because my old PC finally rolled over and died a while back. I haven't had any internet access at all... so it's been kind of hard to update. Getting a shiny new computer either tomorrow or the next day though so I'll finally be able to get back in touch. Upgrading to broadband as well! Faster internet makes me a very happy Brumby indeed! Yeah. Been missing you all LOTS and LOTS and lots and lots and lots... and lots.
Seriously guys, you should see how big I am now. I really must upload a picture. You'll be stunned! The fascination and anxiety is wearing off though, lemme tell yeh. I just want this thing OUT. OF. ME. NOW. I'm so uncomfortable ALL THE TIME and my belly skin is stretched so tight that it feels like it's gonna tear open. Have had 2 false labours. The first one resulted in ~Megatron80 spraining his ankle after tripping over the cat (yes we have a cat now) and falling down the stairs, with me tearing after him screaming, "OMG ARE YOU OKAY!!!???" and the second time I had to drive myself to the hospital because mr. I'm so silly I don't look where I'm going and trip over cats was at work. I've had a taste of what the labour pain is gonna be like now. It's not that bad. I reckon I'll be fine. Anyway, I'll update here again shortly with more stuff when I get my new PC. This was just to let you all know I'm still alive and everything's great. Will answer all comments then too. It'll take me a few hours/days/weeks/months but it will get done. Thank you all for the messages. Love yehz. Saturday was the best day of my life.

This place is truly stunning and I'm so happy. I keep pinching myself to make sure it all hasn't just been some wonderful dream.

Been having a lot of fun since we flew in yesterday. Missing Midge a bit though...
